Today, July 7, 2015, marks one year since taking ownership of WoolWinders Yarn Shop! It’s been an incredibly fast ride with tons of fun, many lessons learned and countless incredible customers that I am privileged to call friends. I couldn’t have done it without the amazing staff of WoolWinders Yarn Shop - you all have taught me so much - and my excellent support system at home.

*District Desserts is a non-profit Bakery operated by Crossway Montessori Communities. Crossway is an educational and residential facility for vulnerable single mothers in Montgomery County, Maryland. The program is designed to give mothers the tools they need to become effective parents, economically self-sufficient, and fully engaged members of their communities. Crossway has a Montessori school on campus that draws equally from residents in the program and families in the local community. Additionally, Crossway provides services and resources for women outside of the program. One hundred percent of the profits from District Desserts are reinvested back into Crossway.
