Description: Double knitting creates a double sided item using two contrasting colors. In this 3-hour class you will complete a 4" x 4" mug rug with heart shaped motif in the center. In addition to the mug rug pattern, you will receive a larger coordinating pattern, for a hot pad or pot holder, that you can complete at home using the skills learned in class.

Techniques/Skills Learned: Two color invisible tubular cast-on and bind-off; double knitting technique; slip stitch closed edges.
Skill Level: Intermediate - Beginner level skills plus increase, decrease, and follow simple patterns.
Prerequisites for Class: Confident with basic knitting skills; able to understand and follow charts; previous colorwork experience helpful.
Materials Needed for Class:
Worsted weight yarn: (2) 50g hanks/skeins in contrast colors (Sample used Woolstok worsted).
You will have sufficient yarn to complete the hot pad and several mug rugs.
Needles: size US 6 or US 7 straight or 24" circular needles.
