Introduction to Cables
Description: In this class, students will make a warm cabled headband. They will learn how to read a simple cable chart and how to make a simple cable.

Techniques/Skills Learned: How to knit simple cables.
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner - Confident with knitting basics (knit, purl, cast on and bind off) and ready to learn how to read and follow simple patterns.
Materials Needed for Class:
Calisson (free Ravelry download)
Approximately 90-100 yards of any bulky weight yarn. (Note: Smoother yarns will work better to facilitate executing the cable stitches)
Needles: 24" size US 10 circular needle
Stitch markers
Cable needle
