Description: All About Granny Squares! Join us for this monthly opportunity to learn more about the beloved and versatile granny square. Each month we pick a different granny square pattern. Join us for February where we will learn the basic granny square.

Techniques Learned:
Each month we will learn a different pattern, so techniques learned will vary by month. For February’s class we cover how to make a magic ring and work in rounds instead of rows to introduce students to the basic construction of granny squares.
Skill Level:
Confident Beginner – must be comfortable with basic crochet stitches such as chain, single crochet, and double-crochet.
Prerequisites for Class:
None
Instructor can provide instructions and demonstrate for left-handed students as needed, so please let us know if you are left-handed.
Materials Needed for Class:
- Yarn must be purchased from Woolwinders. We recommend DK or Worsted Weight yarn. As this will be a monthly class giving students the opportunity to make a sampler of a variety of styles of granny squares, please plan your yarn choice accordingly.
- Hook size appropriate for your yarn
- Optional: Locking stitch markers and darning needle to weave in ends.
Homework:
none – each month a new granny square will be introduce, with no reference to previous classes as we go forward.
