Description: Knit an unstructured, loose fitting shrug made with chunky yarn for a quick knit project. Using simple stitch patterns (ribbing and moss stitch), with simple construction (rectangle) and seams and you’ll have comfy, slightly oversized garment for layering!

Techniques Learned: Seaming using 3-needle bind-off technique.
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner - Confident with knitting basics and ready to go to the next level.
Prerequisites for Class: Must be able to cast on, knit, and purl.
Materials Needed for Class:
Shrug, S10067 by Tanja Steinbach (free Ravelry download)
Approximately 600 yards of bulky yarn
Needles: 32” size US 8 circular needles (or size needed to achieve gauge: 14 sts and 26 rows = 4-inches in moss stitch).
Homework: Knit your gauge swatch:
Cast on 20 sts on US 8 needles.
Work moss pattern for 6 inches.
Measure center 4 x 4 inches after wet blocking.
