Finishing Techniques Rockville

Description:  So you’ve finished knitting your first project, but now what? In this class, we’ll practice weaving in ends, basic blocking, a basic seam or two, and attaching buttons on knit objects.

Techniques/Skills Learned:  Weaving in ends, blocking, basic seaming, button placement and attachment.

Skill Level:  Beginner

Prerequisites for Class:  For the Beginner to Advanced Beginner knitter.  Should be able to  cast on, knit, purl, and bind off.

Materials Needed for Class:  Two small swatches knit in worsted weight yarn (instructions emailed in advance by the instructor) and a tapestry needle.

Homework:  Bring two small swatches knit in worsted weight yarn. Details will be emailed by the instructor.
