Description:  

This class is for students who have completed Knitting 101 or for those students who know the basic knit and purl stitches and are ready to tackle a basic scarf incorporating those stitches.

Saturdays, April 6 & 20

2PM - 4PM

Techniques Learned:

Students will learn a variety of stitch patterns, including ribbing, seed stitch, and basketweave, as well as increases, decreases, and how to fix dropped stitches.

Skill Level:

Beginner - Can knit and purl

Prerequisites for Class:

Please be able to knit and purl

Materials Needed for Class: 

Needles size 7, 8 or 9 (straight or circular either is ok)

1 skein of worsted weight wool. Cascade 220 and Malabrigo Rios are good choices.. Have the yard wound, if needed, before class. 

This class will equip you to make a Sampler Scarf, which uses two skeins of worsted weight yarn. But you can wait until after the first meeting to decide whether you want to do that and then select your yarn.
