Meet Laurie Gonyea of Feel Good Yarn Co.

Meet Laurie Gonyea of Feel Good Yarn Co.

Amy Murphy

On Sunday, February 28th,  Laurie Gonyea, owner of the Feel Good Yarn Company will be visiting us with her gorgeous line of SilverSpun® yarn, the American-made cotton spun with pure silver.  The silver makes the yarn conductive and enables knitters to make gloves that can be used with smartphones and tablets.  The yarn also has numerous therapeutic properties.

Along with the yarn--available in sport and fingering weights and in several beautiful colors--Laurie will also bring along her exclusive patterns and lovely samples of socks, hats, gloves, cowls and sweaters made with SilverSpun®.  We know that you will really enjoy meeting Laurie--she is lively and enthusiastic, and her story about how she got started producing this yarn is truly inspiring.

The yarn will be available for sale throughout the day, and Laurie will be speaking at 1:00 p.m. about how the yarn was developed and conducting a workshop to make a quick and easy pair of touchscreen gloves from 2-3:30.  The cost of the workshop is $35, and includes all the materials you’ll need to make the gloves.
