Class Information
Classes at WoolWinders
As of November 2021, a limited number of in-shop classes are available on a monthly basis. Register for Classes by calling or stopping by the shop. Class schedules are emailed to all email subscribers and handouts are available in the shop.
All students receive a 10% discount on store merchandise during the month they are registered for class.
We offer 3 types of classes at WoolWinders Yarn Shop:
Project/Technique Classes: Do you love to create new things but need ideas? Like to learn techniques while working on a specific project? If so, our project classes are just what you’re looking for. Under the direction of an instructor, project class participants will work towards completion of a specific project in a group setting. Materials required for the project classes will be announced prior to the first class.
Safari Classes: Our most popular classes! Pick any project of your own choosing and work in a group setting with an instructor over the course of a month. A wonderful way to advance your skills and to make new friends. Basic knitting skills required are casting on, knitting and purling.
Beginning Knitting/Crocheting: These classes are for the new knitter or crocheter who is just starting out or who wants to brush up on her basic skills before starting a regular safari class. No previous knitting or crocheting experience necessary for the Knitting 101 or Crochet 101 classes - beginners (including kids ages 10 and up) welcome!
