LEARN TO KNIT AND CROCHET FILLED FOR THIS WEEKEND!
PLEASE NOTE: Learn to Crochet is filled for Saturday, February 27.
Learn to Knit is filled for Sunday, February 28 and Monday, Mar. 1.
We are taking sign ups for the weekend of March 6-7 and Monday, March 8.

MARCH KNITALONG
In our continuing efforts to get you excited about SPRING, we present our designs for the MARCH KAL. Knitalongs are held EACH SATURDAY from 2-4 pm. They’re free and fun.
For March, we couldn’t decide between two designs, so we are offering a choice. Both are made from worsted weight cotton, and we have plenty of choices including the fabulous SCHAEFER LAUREL. First up, a SHRUGIGAN made from two skeins:
Or you can choose a lovely lace SHAWL, which will also take about 800 yards:
Either of these will serve you well during the spring and summer time. The SHRUGIGAN is suitable for beginning knitters; the SHAWL is more advanced and requires knowledge of LACE KNITTING</strong . Please note that Knitalongs are designed for independent knitters or crocheters who enjoy working with others. They are not substitutes for SAFARIS or classes. Instruction is minimal. We offer snacks and great company. The KALS are free, but we do ask that you sign up so we make sure you have a spot at the table.

And come join us this weekend. We are spending SATURDAY working on our FEBRUARY KAL. Everyone is doing beautifully on this sweater—beginners have learned to approach lace fearlessly, we’ve learned about raglan sleeves and how to pick up stitches. This sweater is not only pretty, but is a wonderful learning experience. Look for a repeat program in the fall, as the sweater is suitable for both spring and fall yarns.
Sunday is dedicated to BEGINNING KNITTERS. Our POCKET SCARF is the easiest, cutest scarf we’ve seen in a long time. If you know how to knit a swatch, you can make this scarf AND keep your hands warm at the same time. As an added bonus, we will help you figure out the all important GAUGE ISSUE in knitting. We are going to encourage you to work with WHATEVER yarn you like and we’ll show you how to figure out how many stitches to cast on and what needles to use. How about that? By the end of the program you will be an ADVANCED beginner!
Both programs are FREE OF CHARGE and run from 2-4 PM. Just give us a call to sign up so we save a place at the table for you.
